Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)

Our office is in compliance with the federal and state laws to maintain the privacy of your health information. We have implemented privacy standards, patients’ rights and the administrative requirements in order to appropriately safeguard and disclose protected health information in compliance with HIPAA’s minimum federal requirements.

Each patient is given a copy of the Notice of Privacy Practices and asked to sign an acknowledgment of receipt of the document. Patients can be confident that their health information that is transmitted or maintained by electronic (or other) media is protected in accordance with HIPPA regulation.
